Evan
I'm an independent consultant based in Houston, operating through Magus Consulting LLC. My background is in data strategy, analytics infrastructure, and organizational transformation — shaped by years at Deloitte and across engagements spanning education, financial services, healthcare, energy, and restaurant technology.
I co-founded AnyDiner, a restaurant technology platform, which taught me what it means to build a product from scratch — not just consult on someone else's. That experience fundamentally changed how I approach client work: with the mindset of a builder, not just an advisor.
Today, I'm as comfortable architecting an AWS data pipeline as I am shipping an iOS app with Claude Code or designing an AI-augmented workflow for a finance team. I think the most valuable consultants right now are the ones who can do both — and I've spent the last few years making sure I'm one of them.
